Located in the province of Corrientes, in northern Argentina, Estancia Yapeyś is centered around a century-old Estancia building, in an area which is very much a part of the country's history. In past times, it was a Jesuit settlement, while the nearby town of Yapeyś is the birthplace of General Jose de San Martķn.
Just over 2.700 Hectareas of land are part of the Estancia with rolling landscape in some parts, and subtropical forests in others.
Part of the land ends in a coastal beach by the river Uruguay with two streams that lay across it.
Amongst the attractions are the regional typical rural activities, the folkloric music, sandy beaches. |

The century-old house has 12 bedrooms, each with its private bathroom. All the rooms of the house are faced to an inner yard.
There is also a bar, rooms for reading and playing table games and direct TV.
These rooms give onto a galeria, which in turn faces a central yard, as do the dining and living rooms.
Four meals a day are included. Amongst the typical regional dishes we serve turnovers, roasts on spit or grill, fish, stews and beef pots. |

Close to the house, there is a swimming pool, with a thatched enclosure nearby,a grill for barbecues, vegetable garden and corrals with local fauna.
From bird-watching, to the observation of local wildlife, from horse-riding to trekking, and short journeys on horse-driven coaches.
Boats are available for fishing trips or getting to white sandy beaches, while canoes can be used for exploring the places hidden channels.
For those visitors interested in local folklore and tradition, there are activities such as cattle-riding, or the introduction to local music and meals.
Very interesting trips are also the ones to the nearby town of Yapeyś, to visit the Jesuit museum and the house in which General San Martķn was born, or to the Esteros del Ibera, Tres Cerros and Aguapey River. |
