Haras La Viviana is parte of a very old, traditional ranch, Estancia Los Altos.
It is located in the region of Castelli, 183 Kms. from Buenos Aires, about a two hour drive from the main city, down highway 2, an excellent access.
The ranch is on our own private lake, Laguna Los Altos Verdes, which covers 1000 Has. offering spectacular views and unforgetable sunsets, that reflect on the surface of the water.
Haras La Viviana is also near our well known seaside areas, which makes it an ideal stopover when comming and going to the coast. |

At Haras La Viviana we offer lodging in private cabins for each family group. These accomodations have two bedrooms and one bathroom. In the main guest house we also have double rooms with private bathroom. We can accomodate up to 20 people.
Our ALL INCLUSIVE includes lodging, activities and four meals, breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. At midday we offer Argentina's famour Asado. This is a real treat in itself, and includes beef, pork, lamb, chicken, homemade sausages and veal, accoompanied by fresh salads and for desert our homemade pastelitos, amongst other delicious sweets.
Day Escursions are offered to those whose schedule do not permit a longer stay. Upon arrival you shall be made welcome with LaViviana's own special prepared Clerico, a most unusual refreshing drink.
Shortly thereafter participate in EL Copetin, another traditional gourmet treat. Lunch also includes the Asado. Tea in the afternoon, with a varity of homemade breads and jams, is offered as well.
Of course our facilities and activities are at your leisure.
Our premises consist of three chalets for our guest, a couple of double bedrooms with private bathrooms.
You can visit our stalls, and all the training facilities for our horses, and participate in the ranch activities.
The main guest house, La Rosada, holds the main dinning room, a playroom for the young, and our party-room.
In our party-room, El Destino, with capacity for 100 people, we celebrate Corporate Events, family reunions, parties and aniversaries.
On Christmas, Santa Claus comes in a cart, pulled by a horse, or a pony... a treat for the young! |

Pony Club:
For the small children we provide friendly and gentle ponnies in our exclusive Pony Club.
Our personnel are professionals in this environment which initiated them to build the Pony Club that provides an exclusive system which enables the children to experience the joy of riding while losing any fear they may have had in a secure and safe place.
Horse Breeding:
At Haras La Viviana we are proud of our record in breeding excellent show jumping horses and dressage from the best blood lines.
Our horses have been competing in international events accompanied with the Haras professionally trained riders. We also breed arab horses and criollos with which we hold our famous promenades.
Trail Rides:
Our trail rides are set up in accordance with your level of experience in riding. We provide half day and/or whole day based on your own ability.
For beginners we offer initation classes that will ease your comfort and apprehension prior to any rides.
For the more experienced riders we offer a greater variety of horses than can be best described as gentle to the not so gentle.
Our best arabs are for those riders who consider themselves knowledgable in horse handling and riding.
Lake Activities:
For those who like to relax in a quiet environment we suggest a canoe outing. Our 1000 hectare private lake is available for your perusal and when the moon is full you we will organize a fullmoon outing.
Kayaks and/or boats are also available for your enjoyment. With the Kayaks you can go birwatching, and observe the thousands of waterfoul and other inhabitants in and around our lake. We have some great fishing here, and when requested a guide will assist you. Sailing is another option we offer, as well as windsurfing.
Photographic Safaris:
For Photographic lovers here in Haras LaViviana we offer a paradise with an unusual array of nature and enormous variety of local fauna and breeding animals. Our sunsets are unforgetable intermingled with the natural setting reflecting majestically as a huge mirror back from the lake.
Birdwatching:
We are proud that Haras La Vivana is an ecological reserve not-withstanding our private 1000 hectare lake, but also an additional 200 hectares of marshland where an enormous variety of local birds and other wildlife nest and live year round in a truly natural setting.
Here majestic white, grey and pink herons can be found, black neckneck swans share in this protected zone, while others like teros, teros reales, biguas, chajas, chimangos and caranchos as well as numerous species of ducks thrive in this marshland which provides a perfect observation deck for those interested in natures own. Pefect also for the novice or professional photographer.
Swimming Pool:
Our inground pool off the main ranch house offers our guests an opportunity to relax against a natural background, Los Altos, our private lake.
Here you can enjoy long hours of sun ( use plenty of sun lotion protection please ) with your a glass of our famous clerico.
Our sunsets can best be seen from this poolside. Bring your cameras!
Fishing:
Our lake is stocked and the fishing is excellent for eating. We provide motor boats and/or rowboats.
The choice is yours.
Motor boats are additional and are accompanied with a guide. Fishing in Lake Altos is renowned for its catch and size, some of which are carpa, pejerrey and tararira, this last is caught only with a fly fishing rod and is considered as a fighter.
Whilst visiting Buenos Aires we can organize for you a tour of two or three days visiting Buenos Aires. Including, City Tour, tango show, restaurants, wine tasting, residential areas and shopping centers. Please request quotation for your tailored tour
