· Owner's comment: |
The landowner comes from genovese inmigrants, who settled down in the XVIII century in argentine.
One of his sons became a remarkable surgeon (Dr. Bartolomé Vassallo), who in the first decade of XIX century created the surgery school of our Littoral area.
He greately enjoyed country life, and admired Gualeguay pictures, bought great extensions of land on its borders and devoted a great part of his life to agricultural activity.
Nowadays, keeping familiar tradition, his nephew-grandson combines his surgical activity with cattle raising farming.
Estancia La Jarra, is a cattle raising and farming establishment, being his main and traditional activity Hereford cows breeding.
It also offers tourism exclusiveness, a deep service vocation and tender assistance. |
