Located in the north of Spain, La Rioja is one of the smallest provinces in Spain. Famous for its wine production, the province is made up of seven valleys that run parallel to one another from east to west. The rivers flow down from the mountains to the south and into the Ebro River.
Half of the population lives in the capital city, Logroño. The region is the second in terms of income per capita with a predominance in the service sector, followed by industry and agriculture, with ties to the bottling and canning industry. |
