| » Information about Lugo. |
The capital city of Lugo is enclosed by the only Roman wall to be declared a World Heritage site by the UNESCO.
Once beyond the wall, you will find the casco antiguo, or historic quarter of the city, with pedestrian streets, shopping districts and ideal spots to go bar-hopping for drinks and tapas. The area is overflowing with typical bars and taverns which give you a little taste of something to go along with your drink free of charge.
The city's cathedral, Palacio Arzobispal (Archbishop's Palace) and the Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) are well worth taking the time to visit. Other towns of interest on the province include Viveiro, Ribadeo, and Monforte de Lemos. |
